Current status: this site carries no affiliate links and earns no commission on any purchase. Links to manufacturer product pages exist so you can verify specifications at source.
If that changes
Retailer links may be added in future to fund the research behind the database. If they are, the following rules apply and will be visible on every page carrying such a link.
- Any commission-bearing link is labelled on the page that carries it.
- Commission has no influence on category scores, weighted scores, award assignments, or the order products appear in.
- No retailer or brand gets to add, remove or reword content in exchange for a commercial relationship.
- Jackets that we assess poorly stay assessed poorly whether or not they can be bought through a link here.
- We will not publish sponsored articles, paid guest posts or discount-code content under any arrangement.
Why disclose before there is anything to disclose
Because the standard is easier to hold when it is written down first. Publishing these limits now means that if the site's funding changes, the constraint is already public and any departure from it is visible.
